Our Winter Season Showcase is officially on the way — and this year, we are elevating the experience with three dynamic music ensembles and our brand-new, highly anticipated Student Drafts selection!

This winter, our Artfinix educators are curating powerful, style-driven ensembles that highlight the diverse musical voices within our studio:

Latin Fire Live – Cumbias, salsa, bachata, Latin rock, and Mexican influences led by Alex Funk & Soul City – Groove-heavy, energy-rich funk/soul stylings led by Isaiah• Reel to Real – A creative journey from soul/R&B classics to modern Hip-Hop & Pop interpolations, led by Sam

Plus, for the first time ever, we are hosting Student Drafts, where teachers hand-select students who match their artistic vision for these ensembles. This is a major milestone for participating students—and an exciting new tradition for Artfinix Studios.

Greetings Musicians,

I had the pleasure of rehearsing with you yesterday. There were many great moments, and we were able to fine-tune several areas together. Below are a few important principles I want to bring to your awareness:

1. Confidence matters. You are playing the correct material, but some of you are second-guessing yourselves. Remember—what you play contributes to the overall sound. When you play without intention, it forces your bandmates to compensate.

2. Play your full part. Your educators are teaching you the correct repertoire. However, I’ve noticed a few of you simplifying your parts, hoping it goes unnoticed. We see it—and more importantly, you’re only short-changing your own growth.

3. Be a band, not individuals. There are more than two people on stage. Make eye contact with every member of your band. Without visual connection, the tempo can drift and the music can fall apart.
